7 Layer Dip

If you need a go-to party dish that disappears fast, 7 layer dip is it. Every scoop gets you a little bit of everything—creamy, fresh, savory, and just enough crunch to keep it interesting. It’s easy to throw together, looks great on the table, and somehow tastes even better after it sits for a bit.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces refried beans (1/2 can - I use Amy's brand)
  • 1/3 cup salsa
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 avocados
  • 1/4 cup cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (1/2 of 1 lime)
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning (should be about 1.5 tablespoons)
  • 3/4 cups sharp cheddar cheese (grated cheese)
  • 1 roma tomato (diced)
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • Tortilla chips (for serving)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mash the avocado. Add half the cilantro, lime juice and ¼ teaspoon salt and stir to combine.
  • In another medium bowl, stir together the sour cream and taco seasoning.
  • To assemble the dip, evenly spread the refried beans at the bottom of an 8x8-inch baking dish or similarly sized serving dish. Spread the avocado mixture into an even layer on top, then spread the sour cream mixture into another even layer on top of that. Evenly sprinkle with the cheese, then top with the tomatoes & green onions
  • Serve with tortilla chips.
