Ingredients
- 1/2 cup yellow onion
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 lb. pasta shells (uncooked)
- 4 oz. cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 2 tbsp relish
Instructions
- Dice the onion
- Heat a large skillet to medium high heat. Add the olive oil, onion, and ground beef and cook for 5-6 minutes. Ground beef should be fully cooked and the onions translucent
- Add the flour and continue to cook for 1 minute.
- Add the tomato sauce and beef broth to the skillet and let it come up to a simmer.
- Add in the pasta. Stir everything together and let it come up to a simmer.
- Add the lid to the skillet and cook for 10 minutes on low, making sure the skillet keeps the simmer the entire time
- Add the relish and cheddar cheese, stir to combine
- Remove from heat and serve
