Green Beans with Garlic
Green beans and garlic are just one of those combinations that always works. The beans stay crisp-tender while the garlic adds a simple, savory flavor that makes them hard to stop eating. I make these all the time for weeknight dinners, but they’re just as good for holidays or when you need an easy side to round out a meal.
I’ve made green beans every way you can think of, and the key is not overcooking them. A quick sauté keeps them bright, slightly crisp, and full of flavor instead of soft and dull.
And then there’s the garlic. It cooks just enough to mellow out and coat the beans without overpowering them. It’s simple, quick, and one of those sides you’ll end up making on repeat.
Why You’ll Love Them: They’re crisp-tender, full of garlicky flavor, and come together fast. It’s simple, but not boring.
Top Tip: Keep the heat at medium-high and don’t overcrowd the pan—this helps the beans cook quickly and keeps them from steaming.
